This stuff sells out fast as soon as fall approaches. I finally found it in stock online, paid the hazmat fee, and ordered a couple of jugs. It arrives well-padded, completely sealed, and saves me from driving to five different stores.
Very glad they took the massive Southern Tactical billboard logo off the side of the newer batches. The minimal text keeps the receiver looking much closer to an original military surplus build. Less is definitely more here.
The open-top receiver design means you can load the magazine directly from the top using standard 10-round SKS stripper clips. It is highly reliable and highly satisfying to do at the range.
This pistol is incredibly compact. Without a stock or a giant modern optics bridge, it is barely larger than a standard full-size handgun, just thicker. It easily slides into a tiny pistol pouch or the front pocket of a backpack for easy transport.
Building a Skorpion is a rite of passage for surplus fans. Feeding a .32 ACP can be a bit pricey and hard to find locally, but completing this build on an American-made milled lower was an awesome experience. Zero malfunctions on its first range trip.
